Copthorne Tara feels like an old glorious hotel that's trying to catch up. Check in service was horrible... and the room is just average. I stayed last time in London at the Royal Gardens in Kensington and it was much better.

Good hotel in a great location. Rooms are a little dated but this didn’t impact upon the quality of our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bar has happy hour between 2pm and 7pm. Concierge lovely when we left our luggage. We’d definitely stay again.
