My two priorities for a hotel for this trip were valet parking and that they served breakfast. I chose to stay at The Marlin Hotel because it offered both of these amenities. When I arrived at the hotel, I was told that they no longer had valet parking but there was a garage nearby. At this point I wasn’t going to search for new accommodations. I checked in and went to park my car. When I returned to the hotel, before going up to my room I asked what time they started serving breakfast. I was told they hadn’t served breakfast in a year, but there were nearby restaurants they could recommend. You can see from the pictures that they are still advertising valet parking and a breakfast buffet. The hotel blames Hotels.com. Hotels.com blames the hotel.
I really didn’t want to give the hotel a bad review because everything else about it is lovely. The staff is friendly, the rooms are nice, and the location is excellent. However, I resent being misled and no one accepting responsibility for the inaccurate description online.
