You get what you pay for.
The room is tiny. The breakfast options are very little. It is however a budget hotel and worth the price.

2/10 Poor

Hotel was really dirty, and really bad quality for a 2 star hotel as Japan usually maintains a very high standard even for 2 star hotels. The hotel is not run by Japanese staff. Hotel felt dirty, stains were all over carpet the carpets, walls of the hotel were chipped. Elevator had a smell and felt unclean. The bedskirt and bedsheets were also stained. Room walls had questionable stains as well, hooks had dust, and curtains did not fully close. The soap dispenser in the bathroom was not cleaned, there was a lot of old and dried soap piled at the dispensery opening. The shower curtain had dirty brown stains and there was orange mold and mildew in the showering area. Bathroom door also had stains. Hair dryer was also very dirty. I would not recommend this hotel for anybody. Other 2 star hotels in Japan are very impressive and clean. This one was quite disgusting. The lobby also felt very dirty.

Place was not clean (found multiple hairs in the bathroom). There was black mold on the bathroom sink and oddly placed coverups for damaged parts of the room.. Complained to staff and got a different room; however, it was still poorly cleaned. Won't stay here again.

The staff is friendly and helpful and always ready to help and the location is perfect. However, the rooms leave much to be desired and - in the summer - the poor quality of the air conditioning makes the conditions inside the room nearly unbearable. Otherwise a decent hotel for short-term stays

The staff was less than friendly. The rooms are the size of cruise rooms. It took the hot water 15 minutes to warm up.

Good value for the price and accommodations
Great stay. Front desk was very nice and welcoming. Room is a bit small but that is what you expect in Japan - I had top floor city view which was nice—I had stayed here before and didn’t have a city view and both rooms were perfect for what I needed. Clean, easy, I’m a big guy so it’s small space but definitely great for the price point. Also Greta location next to subway. I would stay here again - no major complaints - a minor issue is that I stayed in room 1308 and it had very little room to sit on the bathroom (it was right next to the wall). I managed just fine! Thank you for a lovely stay - quiet, clean, and good value for the price. Keep in mind if you want an American style room you will need to stay at a more mainstream hotel chain/brand - doable but you pay for it. Great front desk staff (helped me print my visa for Vietnam during my first stay there)
