We booked a night’s stay for New Year's Eve at Eden Roc for a group of ten people. We also tried to make a reservation for dinner at Ocean Social in October, three months in advance, but were informed by Jelena Bugarski that we couldn’t book more than a month ahead.
We sent Jelena a message on December 1st, but received no reply. We followed up with another reminder on December 3rd, which also met with silence. We then sent another email reminder to both customer care and the Eden Roc reservation team. To ensure our message was received, we made four separate phone calls between December 10th and 12th. Only then were we informed that the restaurant was fully booked and there was no more space!
Eventually, we got hold of Salvator Cotes, the Director of Experience and Concierge, who said he had managed to secure us a table for the evening. We thought everything was resolved until we showed up and were led into the kitchen, where they expected us to dine in isolation!
Our evening ended with us eating in the lobby bar instead. Wonderful New Year!
I won't spend another night at Eden Roc again!
