An older property but well maintained and a very convenient location across from the palace and nearby to Hanok Village. Staff were courteous and helpful without letting language barriers get in the way. Thank you !!

6/10 Good

I stayed here for a weekend to visit some friends. This is advertised as a hotel, but it is basically a motel. However, it is a well kept motel that is a cut above the standard, and in a good location for sight seeing. It is by a palace, museums and restaurants. I appreciated that they seemed to had done things like upgrade the door locks, clean everything and provide a lot of things like snacks or amenities for you to buy in the motel. Also, no one bothered me in my room, which was nice. However I have two major complaints: 1. I had a water bottle that was refilled and closed. So I don't know where the water came from or if it was clean, or if someone drank out of it already. I could have gotten sick 2. I feel like I was a victim of xenophobia here and I even tested this. I am an American. I checked in. I was moved to the side and had to check my temperature. Kind of normal. BUT. A Korean couple came in after me, got checked in first AND THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO SCAN THEIR TEMPERATURE!!! So I asked my girlfriend, who is Korean, to come in a bit awkwardly to make it noticeable and meet me in my room. THEY DID NOT STOP HER AND MAKE HER TAKE HER TEMPERATURE... really? Really? This is where most of the points I am knocking off are coming from. Either do it for everyone, or not at all.

BEST LOCATION WITH BEST SERVICE
It’s location is gold!!! Walkable to the main palaces and food/coffee/tea hubs! If you want a place that is super accessible to key attractions buy away from the crowd, this is the place to be. The hotel crew made sure our room stayed warm during our stay cos it was winter and they replaced our sheets with new ones everyday! You’ll have everything you need here - I actually regret bringing my toiletries cos the hotel provides everything. They even have safety tools in case of emergency. Best budget hotel I had been to so far!

Nice budget hotel
This hotel is budget friendly, clean, has free water/coffee/noodles per day and near Anguk station. Overall a good place to stay while on budget. Definitely will come back.

2/10 Poor

This hotel was generally terrible. The carpets in the hallways are old and stained, and the whole place smells like cleaning solvent. The room has peeling plastic wood veneers all over it, and comes with bug spray, used bar hand soap and opened toothpaste. The bed and pillows are hard as rocks. The front desk does not speak English and if they will help you at all, will try to change you. Left this hotel at first night of a three night stay and they would not refund the remaining nights. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE
