We feel Kobe may be a bit underrated for visiting. Food scene (even outside of steak) was wonderful, the variety of shopping in the arcade was great and the history and its recovery from the earthquake is really something to appreciate and take in.

Usually off the beaten path, Kobe is an easy town to shop and get around. They have some beautiful gardens and the Rokko Mountain ropeway was a great visit on a warm day.

The cable car is a must but get there early. The station is undergoing major construction on the east side and access can be a tad confusing, allow extra time to access the platforms. The station staff are very helpful. Kobe history is important.

Kobe has a vibe all is own. Different from other big cities like Tokyo or Kyoto. Big city feel with a smaller towns charm. I look forward to visit again to discover new adventures.

Kobe has interesting attractions and is only 25 minutes from central Osaka. It is better value than staying in Osaka.

Kobe has the potential to become a major tourist spot. I only came to have Kobe beef. I could only 3 halal spots. It should be easy to find halal and kosher restaurants as this would attract more people. Kobe ppl are quite nice and helpful
"Very friendly staff and beautiful location. You can easily get to Umeda/Osaka Station (15 mins north) or Yodoyabashi Station (10 mins south) which will take you anywhere you need. Executive bar access is awesome!
Pro tip: Go to CoDeli for drinks and snacks rather than the FamilyMart or Lawson so you can save a little."
"The room was beautiful, spacious, and an oasis from the hustle and bustle of the busy city. It was conveniently located within a few minutes walk of Shin-Osaka Station. We would definitely stay there again. "
"This is one of only 2 places I stay when in Umeda. The other is the Club rooms at the Granvia, the respire has no Club room available. Clean and very convenient to the train station, eats and shopping. Stay here and let me know what you think!"
"Amazing hotel! Great food and has a ton of amenities. My only complaint is how hot the weather was and no a/c in the main lobby areas. Loved every other bit!"
"We stayed at this hotel in both Kyoto & Osaka. Both have onsens but these felt superior. The massage chairs were also a great boost to what they offer and staff was great and helpful.
At a great location and a place I would absolutely return to when back in Kyoto.
Can be a bit busy during peak hours but still find times to take advantage of amenities. "
"Good location & nice environment. Would be great if coin laundry is available & room clean-up be more thoughtful, like not repeatedly giving us more & more toiletries that we did not use. Having said, overall speaking it’s still very good. "
