I ended up at the Motel 6 Kissimmee because another hotel cancelled my reservation at the last minute. Let's be clear, this wasn't my first choice. The place is definitely run-down, and the security felt just okay.
On the plus side, my room was relatively clean, I had hot water, and the basic necessities were there. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, which was a relief. Check-in was quick and easy, and my room was easy to get to.
However, the room smelled strongly of weed and cigarettes, even though it was supposed to be non-smoking. As a Floridian, I'm used to dealing with bugs, but I did see a few. It might bother people who aren't used to it. The room was also pretty noisy, thanks to thin walls and some inconsiderate guests. Thankfully, I sleep soundly, and I was only there to sleep.
Basically, this Motel 6 served its purpose as a last-minute place to crash after a booking disaster. It's definitely a no-frills experience, but it got me through the night.
