This is a tough review, because I really loved the aesthetics of the hotel and my room. The hotel staff was attentive, the room was exquisite and CLEAN, and the views of the lake were awesome. Also, the restaurant was great. The only problem was with how sound carried through the hotel. I colleague of mine stayed at the hotel too and had the same problem. It was difficult to sleep because you could hear people coming down the hall, stomping around upstairs, and even coming in and out of the hotel. I realize that this isn't entirely the hotel's fault; I believe it is probably an older building (a very nice building though), and the insulation is probably not the best. But if you have problems sleeping, I would recommend asking for a room that didn't have these problems, like one on one of the upper floors. I didn't bring it up to the front desk because I only stayed for one night; however, had I told them, I believe they would have done everything they could to accommodate me.
The town was nice and quaint. The lake side bars were cool and relaxing. I would definitely visit again.
