This was a great location for our three nights in Rome. The staff was friendly and responsive when I reached out. Room was very clean and simple. We stayed in room 6. I am a American woman size 2022. I just fit in the shower door. This is not a complaint. It is a reality of me being a larger person. However, this might be something you as a traveler need to consider. I do not know the situation of the other bathrooms. I would definitely stay there again.

The staff at Le terrazze di San Giovanni were excellent, they provided great recommendations, made self check-in easy, and were overall very friendly and helpful on our trip. The neighbourhood is quieter than the areas of Rome we visited which was a nice relief. The restaurants in the area were great and felt authentic. We stayed in the rooms for 4 people and found them to be a decent amount of space for us. The Air conditioning worked well. The property is a bit older and the bathrooms are small, but don’t let that stop you from picking this place for a quiet place to rest. The terrace was nice for peaceful breakfasts and drinks at the end of the evening.

One of the rooms had a shower that smelled badly. Not a whole lot of parking out front. Rooms were clean and simple. Nice community kitchen, air conditioner blew cold but turned off during the night. No elevator, only stairs. Owners were very nice and accommodating. They were able to arrange transportation to the airport very early in the morning. Had a nice terrace with seating.

I'm not familiar with Italy's hotel rating system, but this establishment, labeled as a 3-star hotel, falls short of deserving that designation. While the staff were nice and facilitated a smooth self-check-in process, the overall design and construction of the place are inconvenient and cheaply executed. As an architect I can confidently speak to this issue, noting flaws in both room layout and common area configuration. The terrace which is rendered as a highlight in the photos is disappointingly noisy due to its proximity to a busy street. Breakfast offerings are minimal, consisting mainly of cheap sweets. To top it all the bathroom exhaust was not functioning other than making noise, contributing to an unpleasant 4 day stay. Despite advertising laundry facilities, such services were not available. The lack of a card payment system to cover local taxes added an unnecessary burden of having to find cash to my experience.

Location is good for the Colosseum and there is a metro station at the end of the road so travelling around Rome to visit all the sights is easy. A number of good restaurants in the area, we particularly liked Marco G Trattoria just around the corner. The room was a good size, large bed and bathroom. Our only comment would be that it would have been very useful to have an information sheet inside the room explaining the arrangements for breakfast, use of the kitchen and check out procedures to ensure guests are able to make use of the facilities available. We arrived on a Friday evening and didn’t see a member of staff until Sunday morning. We used the vouchers for breakfast in a bar across the street and you get a nice fresh croissant and a cup of coffee.

A place for family to feel Rome warmness.
I stayed with my family (4 people), every one loves the place. we had very good experience, felt as if we were visiting a family. The owner and his daughter are very friendly. They were always helpful. Also the owner provided us with a storage to our 2 big bags when we travelled to florence. The Terrace is nice place to realx and eat. For sure I will try to book again when I visit the great Rome.
