A little this and a lil that
I have mixed reviews on my stay. Pro: Location was perfect. It was right off Irlo Bronson and close to everything. We stayed in the West Village in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath villa. The Villa was spacious and comfortable. The resort had multiple pools, slides and a lazy river. The water was heated. It also had golf, arcade and much more. The cons: When checking in you have to go to the timeshare desk for a parking pass. We decided to do a timeshare for $200 giftcard and it took 3 hours instead of the 1.5 hours promised. I did get a late check out to compensate but it was too long. You also have to pay for the putt putt golf and other activities in the fun center. This is not disclosed until you are at the resort. Depending on your party size, the parks may be cheaper. Overall, I would go back.

Don’t do it
It started at the security gate and just kept on going. You are given ZERO direction by check in staff on anything the resort offers or where to find points of interest ( or even directions, unless “that way” means more here than in other places. Strange room set up that is VERY dated and rundown. Just because you pay a daily “resort fee” does not mean you are allowed a TUBE for the FREE LAZY RIVER… Those will cost you $8 or so for a full day rental per person. Not sure how to enjoy the lazy river without a tube… so I guess well played money grab? Overall, avoid.

Timeshare con
The main hotel is dated, the rooms are desperate need of new carpets or a deep clean. Our room smelled strongly of mold as soon as we entered. The mattress on the pull out sofa had mold/mildew and smelled awful. DO NOT agree to the timeshare presentation!! We were lied to and told the waterpark area costs more than $50 per person unless we did the presentation. This was a lie. We were told the presentation was 90 minutes, it was actually 2 1/2 hours!! Complete waste of our time and a complete scam. The activities do cost money, which is not stated on Hotels.com. They are inexpensive, so don’t waste your time getting roped into the timeshare con.

Nice, but.
Fine. Pool, nearby restaurants were very nice. Emphasis on Holiday sales was greater than the Inn as a hotel. Meeting with a salesperson was a strong intro to the property; felt pushed hard to attend meeting. When I later realized it was not required, I tried to cancel within hours but was charged. It was a bad taste. I’m a Holiday Inn fan but not this one. Was it worth the annoyance for you to collect $50 from me for not attending your meeting? And because I didn’t go to your “tour,” I still had to figure out typical hotel info such as housekeeping, any amenities and property offerings. I learned all that from family who were staying in one of the condos, not from any Holiday Inn/IHG source.

Worst experience ever
Check in was great. Fire alarms kept going on and off Friday and Saturday. I was given incentives for that. Received bill this morning and was over charged. Went to front desk and was refunded but got to wait three to five business day. Worst experience ever. Called the manager at 954 am on 10/27/24 and still waiting for Leslie to call me back
