Disgusting!
It was one of the dirtiest rooms I’ve stayed in. The carpet emanated a smell that was intolerable, we had to sleep with the window open and keep our shoes on. Our clothes kept the smell from the room and we stunk all day. The bathroom floor was sticky. There was blood and/or a brownish red substance on the wall. The faucet was leaking. The shower curtain was dirty. The window sill was so dirty that it was black with grime instead of white. The toilet was dirty. The towels were stained.
We didn’t dare drink anything from the tap (because of how dirty everything was), so we looked for a vending machine. They were all out of service. So we had to go to the lobby to get a drink. The building is a bit of a maze, unclear indications and no staircase from the first floor to the third (no elevator either). You have to go up one flight of stairs, then walk around to find another set of stairs to make it to the third floor.
There were police in the building when we showed up, that should have been a red flag…
