What a perfect location for exploring Porto. You are right on Ribeira square and it can get noisy at night if you are a light sleeper. An excellent breakfast open till 11:30am.

The location was great right down by the water, but the rooms were very very small. Barely enough room for your luggage. breakfast was €12 for a simple breakfast. Entertainment by the water went on till 10 o’clock at night, which you could hear in our rooms. Reception was very helpful with recommendations for restaurants, but most of the restaurants had a three day wait to get a reservation.

We had three couples staying at the Oca Ribeira And everything went very well. The staff was friendly and helpful The location is right in the heart of downtown Porto so a lot of the Must do things are within walking distance. The room was small, but that’s not unusual for Europe

The hotel is in a great location, right by the River Douro. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing I didn't really like is the frosted glass door for the bathroom. I think its a normal thing in Portugal but even if you are travelling with your partner it could be a little awkward when you are using the toilet!

This is at the bottom of a very steep hill. At certain times taxis cannot go down as it is a pedestrian only area being in ribiera square. You really need to be fit to get up and down the hill. It was noisy till midnight as is in the busiest part near the river with a man with his dogs barking and music. If this doesnt worry you it is great. Close to the bridge and weekend markets , lots of restaurants and cafes close by. Tourist office across the road and next door. We had a problem with the toilet flooding on our last night, a sunday, but luckily they were able to relocate us to another room.
