Had a blast this weekend in Blackpool. The locals are so friendly and helpful. Had fabulous dinners at Papa's fish and chip shop and a lovely Italian Caesar's. The illuminations did not disappoint, out of this world. Had lots of fun in the arcades!

Lots and lots of walking along the Irish seaside. 3 different piers. Many, many small food shops to pop in for tea or coffee. One of the best gish & vhips I had in a very long time. We really enjoyed our time at the top of the Blackpool Tower

Made use of the tickets to combine attractions. Saved lots of money by booking together instead of seperate. We did Tussauds, the Tower Circus and The Dungeons. If you are debating which to do I would definitely recommend the Dungeons.

Visit Blackpool yearly and do different things each year. I like time on the beach weather permitting. Pirates bay bar on central pier is a great venue and atmosphere for families. Lots of family bars about with great entertainment.

We've been visiting the illuminations for many years now, still finding something new to do each time. We did the walk between Cabin and Bispham to take in the large installations and give them time to watch, so much nicer close-up!

Do yourself a favour, stay at one of the bigger hotels on north shore and get a tram pass... they come every 15 mins and only take 15 mins from north to south... will make your trip much less stressful.

We love Blackpool and have been visiting for many years. Great to see some regeneration and improvements to the piers and some nice hotels popping up again. We never fail to have a good time.

Not everyone's cup of tea but we love Blackpool. The Pleasure Beach is always great fun. The trams are great value if you buy a day ticket. Fleetwood Market is always good for a bargain.

Lovely historic holiday destination, lots of Victorian buildings enjoying faded glory, friendly people. Obvious lack of investment to a characterful seaside town.
"Room 206 has the most comfortable four poster bed, i slept like a log every night. We usually just stay Room only, but occasionally we chose breakfast and dinner and neither options disappointed. There was entertainment each night. I have to give a big shout out to both Martin and Nathan who have always tried to get me a second floor room with a Seaview. 1,because I have walking difficulties and if the lift wasn't working for any reason then i could just about manage to get to my room, and 2, i suffer from depression and anxiety and being able to watch the sea calms me down. That being said, people will complain about the small things sometimes and i say to them that the staff do their best, always read the reviews on hotels and if you expect luxury then book the boulevard or similar hotel. And before you have a go at me about the president hotel, let me say that everyone is entitled to their own views and half the time problems are of the guests own makings. The hotel is truly pet friendly, allowing your pets everywhere with you, they even have a separate dining area for them unlike certain other hotels which i won't name. "
"We had the annex which was spotless and room service left items that we requested.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Good options for breakfast.
Entertainment was enjoyable.
Swimming pools are starting to look a little dated but they were checked and cleaned regularly. "
"My stay was good the room was clean & comfy bed only problem was they put us in an accessible room which we didn’t book so was very wary about pulling cords apart from that the stay was good & would stay again"
"Lovely place, really friendly and helpful staff. Close to all local amenities and sea front only a five minute walk away. The bathroom was a tad compact but it was clean and did the job. From what I could see it appeared to be the only one in the area that had any parking too which was a huge bonus. The only downside really was the WiFi was a tad slow. Other than that overall cannot fault anything else. Would happily stay again. "
"It was quiet, lots of picturesque views of Blackpool Tower and the promenade and also of the Big One at Pleasure Beach in the distance. The location is ideal as it’s not in the middle of everything going on, staff were very polite and whilst there are facilities like the pool and Sauna etc we didn’t make use of during this stay we would definitely be inclined to make use of them on a future visit!"
