"I do love this place. We book for the proximity to the beach for sure. Although I like the 1st floor garden rooms where its much more convenient access to go to the water, I would recommend a 2nd floor room if you're a light sleeper only because you can hear the people walking around above."

"Liked the pools, waterslide, view, beach, Duke's, sunset, staff was friendly, able to get towels at any time, we were able to get pool lounge chairs even though we got out late, bell service is fast, friendly, and courteous. Maintenance was fast, as well.
We had an ocean view but it was just partial ocean view. We upgraded from mountain view.

"We stayed 10 nights at the Whaler, we had a studio with ocean view and a kitchen. The hotel was very nice, the bed was really comfortable. The staff was very nice and really responsive. "

"It had a beautiful view! Bed is comfy. Kinda disappointed there was no oven, k-cup coffee maker or dishwasher in the studio unit. Beach was great…except for the morning fishing 3 of our 6 days there. Guys set up about 7 fishing poles and you had to walk under their lines to walk to a place to lay out a towel or beach chair. They would fish for about 3 hours or so. "

"On the beach practically. Good options of food nearby. Grocery store nearby. But would suggest hitting the costco before driving to the property. A food truck park is right next door with variety of options.
Property is a bit on the older side but overall neat and clean. Plenty of parking on premise. No restaurant onsite but can goto food truck park or other close by restaurants including the ones in resort next door.

"The location was great for us. Peaceful and close enough to Napili Bay and the coastal trail.
A lot of places on Napili Bay have AC issues but our condo was perfect the entire trip!"
"Beautiful room and GREAT location - we loved going out on the boardwalk, restaurants/food trucks and of course snorkeling right behind the hotel! We saw lots of sea turtles - fantastic stay!"
