Great location near train station, almost fully sheltered walkway from station to hotel which helps when it's raining. Also near the bus stop to take highway bus to Takachiho Bus Centre, Kumamoto Airport. Hotel helped me arranged takkyubin to Beppu which is very convenient. Breakfast selection is sufficient, in fact seems to have slightly more than the Toyoko Inn in Kagoshima that I stayed in. There are 3 elevators that are quite fast so waiting time is short. Will choose this hotel if I come back again.

It was great to be close to Kumamoto Station, where hotels are affordable and you can tour Kumamoto City for 180 yen on the streetcar, and there are plenty of dining and souvenir options available inside the station. However, the access from Kumamoto Airport was not very good, but it wasn't a particular problem.
