The hotel staff was wonderful. They were helpful and did their best with us being English Speakers. The hotel is on a hilltop outside of town, so the views are fantastic, but it is not near a station. The pond just down the road is beautiful, there are fish you can feed, and hawks that will also eat the bread if you throw it up instead of in the pond. The hotel's public bath is really relaxing and quiet. It was a great stay overall.

Chambre belle et épurée, confortable et pratique. Magnifique vue sur la mer, personnel parfait. Très facile à trouver en voiture (on voit l’hôtel depuis la route, perché sur une colline). Onsen agréable, très bon dîner et petit déjeuner kaiseki.

茨城から一人旅で一泊
吉田松陰が大好きで、松陰ゆかりの史跡などを見学し、宿泊しました。ホテルのスタッフは、皆さん丁寧な応対で、施設は古かったですが、きれいで、気持ち良く泊まれました。海の見える部屋で、大浴場から見える夕景、朝景色はとてもきれいで、旅の疲れが取れました。朝食は適当な量で、盛り付けがきれいでした。バイキング形式が多いですが、個別の提供方法もいいと思います。
