Location was excellent - within 5-10 min walk to Shimbashi station. There are many convenience stores, restaurants and bars closeby. Plus side - area is not as busy as places like Shinjuku, Shibuya and Asakusa. Some may find it a little "seedier" than other neighborhoods frequented by travelers but if you come from a big city, it should not feel seedy at all. It definitely felt safer than the equivalent neighborhood back home in Canada. The hotel itself is pretty barebones but comfortable. I enjoyed the free coffee/tea in the lobby, and the concierge was friendly and helpful. The ensuite washer/dryer was incredibly useful. I strongly disliked the bed linens.

The rooms are as dense with amenities as possible, there's just enough room for everything EXCEPT your luggage. Both me and a friend were having pretty bad allergies inside, especially inside the bathroom?? it got better with the heater off and the windows open. Beds are pretty stiff if you like that.
