今回はあこがれていた、水上コテージ(?)に宿泊しましたが、まず、水上コテージではなく「水上コテージ風」です。潮が引いたとき初めてわかったのですが、「海」というより「沼」という感じのところに立っています。
比較的広い客室は一見きれいですが、部屋の隅やさんにはほこりがたまってました。
また私にはキッチン付きということも魅力でしたが、電磁調理器があるもののその他の調理器具・食器・調味料など一切なく、フロントで借りれるか聞いたところ、速攻の"NO!"で、"Do you really wanna cook?
"と。びっくりして「誰も料理しないの?」と聞いたらあちらも驚いた様子で"No one tries to cook"。キッチンの意味ゼロ。
部屋の電話は故障していて三度目に訴えたところやっとスタッフが来ましたが、結局最後までつながりませんでした。滞在二日目は"Clean my room"のカードをドアにかけて外出、3時過ぎに戻りましたがまだそのまま。電話がつながらないので直接フロントに苦情を言ったところ、「チェックアウトした部屋から掃除するので」という返事。ハウスキーピングが来たのは6時過ぎでした。
部屋でもネットつながりますが、夜間はかなりきびしく途中であきらめました。

Hotelli olisi kunnostuksen tarpeessa
Olimme odottaneet parempikuntoista hotellia kokonaisuudessaan luokitukseen nähden. Hissit olivat epäkunnossa kaksi ensimmäistä vierailupäiväämme. Wi-Fi toimi huonosti. Palvelu oli hieman sekavaa, hotellissamme oli vastaanotto, mutta meidän ei tullut käyttää sitä vaan kauempana sijaitsevaa erillistä vastaanottoa. Hotellin ympäristössä oli huonosti palveluja tarjolla, kaikki sijaitsi taksimatkan päässä.

A total disappointment
Overall a very disappointing stay for my family and I wouldn't recommend the resort to anyone who appreciates good hospitality. The good about this place: Nothing memorable really, maybe except the nice uniforms of the receptionists. The bads: 1) Late check-in at 4pm on day of arrival; 2) Room wifi signal was almost non existent; 3) Both lifts were not working for most of the time we were there, making it a challenge for the elderly people and children with us. When asked, resort management said there was nothing they could do about it and what was more appalling was we were told that "normally only 1 lift would be spoilt"; 4) Reception could not be bothered with our repeated requests for a bottle opener even though they promised us to deliver it to the room; and 5) Overcharging for breakfast - we noticed that we were charged different prices for our 3-day stay. When asked, the receptionist initially acknowledged that we were overcharged for 2 of the 3 days. However the resort management subsequently retracted their words and said that we were undercharged for 1 of the 3 days. So instead of giving us a refund, we had to make additional payment. As we were in a rush to catch our flight, we did not bother to argue with them further. But it goes to show how the resort management deals with such issues.

needs significant improvement
the check in time was less than satisfactory (3pm), even though I had made prior communication with the resort. A further point is that we requested a check out at 1pm .which was accepted but we got a call in the room to leave by 12. A typical case of too many decision makers.Two final points- I called for the bell service- they did not come, in fact my went to the ground to fetch the bell trolley. We thern went on to physically take our baggage to the ground floor and fInally taxi. The public lift worked on arrival but failed thereafter and was shut down. our travel to our room was via the stair well. .
I enjoyed my stay in the Hotel...staff are very nice and helpful. ..Inhouse dining food is good...n the location is close to all main attractions. ..Overall its a good hotel to stay moreover to relax...My parents to njoyed the stay...

Nice swimming pool for kids
The kids enjoy the pool and beach. But the sea water is muddy and dirty.
The hotel is managed by different parties, which is confusing when you need a little assistance from them.

Fantastiskt fint läge, otroligt god mat på hotellet. Lite väl ödsligt område dock, inga butiker eller restauranger mer än hotellet. Hotellrestaurangen serverade enbart öl som alkohol och bara vissa tider.

Nice facilities!
It is a good experience to stay at Langkawi. I stayed 2 nights and the best thing is the bed, which soft and clean.

Very Good
It was old Building but is so clean and the Breakfast was nice
the swimming pool was so nice has view on the Sea and its so quiet
so many Bugs its natural because there are many trees
My advice if you don't like a old Building Don't Booking on this Hotel
Booking the Ombak Vila is in the same place

Review of Hotels.com & Langkawi Lagoon Resort
The hotel is good only from one perspective - It's near Cenang beach. If you have a plan to do a lot of water-sport then it's a better choice. Ours was a sea/hill view so, that way the room was good. Another good is is the breakfast.
Following 2 major problems in the room:
1) Water pressure was too less in our room while taking the shower in mornings
2) Air conditioning placement in rooms is really weird. You need to wait for really long time for rooms to get cold
3) Reception staff is really Indifferent to these problems even though you highlight it to them.
Another major issue with Hotel.com - We booked this room assuming that we will get a
room with kitchen. However, hotel staff did not allow us to use kitchen at all saying there was a notice from local authorities not to use the gas in hotel rooms. We should have been informed about it by Hotels.com as I booked this hotel by talking to your customer care.
