An almost practical crash pad

This motel is really a truck stop accommodation. It is paired with a decent diner in the middle of a truck stop carpark. So expect zero ambience, its all about practicality. I think it is trying to be a modern option, but its lack of services lets it down. The is no reception, I could see an office but never saw anyone near it. We were given codes for the front door and our room, but the front door code simply didnt work so we gained entry via the diner and wedged the door open. Not sure what we would do if we arrived after diner closed (about 9pm I think). There is a communal kitchen / dining area but despite having a kettle there is no running water (get it from a bathroom - but water bottle wont fit). The beds were firm and ok, nice sheets etc. We stayed on the evening of autumns first cold night so lucky we have a blanket in the car we could use as the one on the bed was so thin we didnt notice it until morning! I think they were just slow to react to the weather. The room was clean and the shower decent, so overall high on practicality (if can sort the door code issue), and if looking for a cheap no frills option its a decent bet. Also located close to major takeaways but use Industrie cafe if you can (300m away) as everything there was great!

Great place to just stop and sleep. No need to worry about how late you get there - and all you need is a bed and a good shower in the morning. I am sure there are other amenities, but thats all we needed. We arrived late and left early.

There were no cups available in the rec room so couldn't have tea/coffee evening or morning.. Restaurant closed Tuesday morning, no breakfast. Didn't have my dinner choice Monday night, went to Citz club . TV difficult to operate, limited channels. Only one light in room, needed reading light over bed.

This is a basic type of accommodation but good value for the price. There is no front desk, it is check in my text and given a code. That ended a little bit of a hiccup but overall would stay again. 8/10

Rubbish outside windows,,,,, poor reception from diner,, was told on new tears eve that American diner would be open for dinner till 830 pm , I went to door at 7 and no one came .. I had to becon and knock and a lady came and said the kitchen was closed because they had run out of food , I had planned and researched the menu in great anticipation ,, I ate cheese and crackers in my room and was greatly disappointed in my New Year’s Eve there ,,, Donald snook

There were no kitchen sink which is essential in a kitchen. I will not use water from the bathroom for consumption. I am not sure if there were crockery and cutlery, if not, there should be, travellers do not travel with such things and naturally expect the accommodation host to provide them. The filter in both communal showers had to be left out during the shower so the water could drain which is not hygenic. I booked a room for two adults and received one towel and one bathmat. Signage to give directions to accommodation were not visible from the road and signage to give directions to rooms were not clear. We walked around the complex twice to find room 8. Need new pillows and pillow protectors rather than sweat or drool stains on the pillows. Ceiling in the room looks like it could fall down. Cooking smell wafts towards the hall on a warm day was stifling. Bed cover seemed like a sheet. However, the facility seems reasonably clean. The young lady at the diner was prompt to give me a towel. I love the menu at the diner, bottomless coffee and comfty seating.

Nothing unique about this property. The room we were in appeared clean and there was a bed. The bed had a very soft mattress. I understand the managers/owners wish to make affordable accommodation available. There's no water in the kitchen/communal area. No soap, neither in the bathrooms. It wasn't soundproof at all. Unfortunately not very considerate fellow guests. No leaks, no mould or anything like that.

Communal kitchen has a kettle but no visible sink to fill kettle or to provide guests with fresh water!!! Probably why no cups are provided. I stayed for 5 nights - no room service for the entire time as stated on door within room. No resupply of towels for 5 day duration of stay, no fresh linen provided. Could easily use the empty vanity (I think it’s a vanity - but it has no doors or draws) with mirror above that is within rooms to provide a small sink for comfort and convenience of guests - but haven’t done so. Had to walk down long hallway just to brush teeth, use toilet and shower. Noise travels easily - could hear other guests in hallway and muffled conversations in other rooms. Inconvenience of no staff availability to answer concerns and assist with access on arrival. Car parking conveniently outside sliding door to room - but sliding door cannot be locked!!! Expected to walk out front entrance and walk around restaurant and across car park to access car on the other side of a sliding door to your room - seems very illogical and inconvenient. Only plus side is cheap room and free parking.. also bed was reasonably comfortable. Needs to provide room service for hygiene for guests staying several days - I stayed 5 nights.
