Took 45 minutes for a cocktail to arrive and the bar worker continously kept the change prompting me to challenge his poor service. Not the best situation to be in while relaxing. Had another bar employee shout at my guest for not using a towel when none were in sight hidden behind the bar. Was asked several times by security "where I was going" like he is my dad. The employees think the hotel is a strict boarding school. Breakfast and the staff serving were absolutely amazing and are great representatives of the hotel. Maybe they could teach the staff at the bar/reception/security some customer service skills.

I got a very good offer to stay at the Royal Shaza suites and I am very happy to have chosen to stay here. The reception staff especially Emmanuel were very welcoming and helpful. I requested an early check in and early check out which were all accommodated for. The room was clean, spacious & quiet. I felt very safe at the property. The staff are very helpful and polite. I requested a very early breakfast for a few days which was accommodated for with no problem by the restaurant. Thanks to the chef and Charles, who served me almost every day of my stay. The laundry service are quick snd reasonably priced. There is a well equipped gym, several swimming pools, well maintained gardens and beach access to the ocean.

Super super super super nice hotel

Super nice stay in Royal Shaza suites, away from crowded places. It's a hidden gem. Super clean spacious rooms, nice gym, two pools (bigger and one smaller) and also a big lawn. Super friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was really good, many options to choose. Even it's a bit further it's easy to go around. They had also one of the best massage, I suggest to try it. I would give a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Établissement excessivement propre. Serviettes de bains et draps changés chaque jour. Personnel accueillant, poli, gentil, serviable. Chambre très spacieuse. Grande douche. Piscine très propre également. En revanche les matelas des transat auraient besoin d’être changés. Excellent séjour. Je recommande cet hôtel les yeux fermés

Overall it is a nice place to stay. The pool and the beach too warm to swim, to be refresh and they close the pooll at 6 PM instead of at least 9 PM like most places around the world.

Fair stay in Shanzu

It's ridiculous to charge 500 for toom service delivery. Very clean rooms save for the restaurant which was heavily infested by cats and roaches. The cats make it hard not to feed them hence the roaches. The bar area, did a fight occur there, there's a huge visible patch of blood which they need to scrub off thoroughly. My partner unknowingly paid cash at the bar which was never recieved but instead pocketed by the barman. Efforts to get the payment receipt was unsuccessful. That is simply stealing from both your guests and the company. Front desk staff and the hotel manager are amazing and very accommodative. Breakfast is substandard though. The food from the ala carte menu was made really good though it takes so long. Overall, we had a lovely time here and will definitely come back.

Hotelli oli siisti ja puhdas. Todella kaunis paikka. Aamuapala buffetti oli kattava ja monipuolinen. Halal ruokia oli saatavilla.Työntekijät olivat kohteliaita ja avuliaita. Kaikki oli täydellistä, paitsi pari seikkaa missä olisi parantamisen varaa. Ravintolan ruoka paitsi aamupala ei ollut hyvää sekä ruuan valmistsmisessa menee todella kauan, vaikka ravintolassa ei olisikaan muita asiakkaita.

This hotel is a unique and beautiful find! My only gripe is the yummy but limited breakfast on offer during my November visit. I've given it a 5 star as it's a well looked after hotel with amazing grounds and facilities. Hotel staff went beyond duty to ensure I gained access to having my hair braiding within 24 hours by calling on a local contact, they paid attention to detail in their service, kudos to the manager as she led by example, quickly spotting me in the car park attempting to unload the car on arrival. I think, I was in superwoman mode! I was grateful for the prompt help though :) I liked how confident and polite staff were to engage in conversations and remained both friendly and professional. I felt safe at the hotel and the surrounding area. I truly felt welcomed and can't wait to share this experience with family and friends. I can't wait to be back. To all the staff at The Royal Shaza Suites, a massive thank you for making my stay one to fondly remember. Agnes

We booked a 3 bedroom executive suite that on Expedia said "sleeps six" and we had 3 adult male travelers. Even though there are 3 separate rooms with three separate queen beds, we were charged an additional 250 USD for having an extra person. The room was advertised as 113 USD per night. With the extra person charge, the real rate was 191 USD per night. This should be the largest, boldest number on the Expedia listing. It makes no sense to have a 3 bedroom suite charge extra for 3 people. The manager tried to give us a paper brochure in the lobby to show us the per person rate that we did not see online or until day 2 of the stay, when I saw the extra 250 USD charge sneakily added to my credit card. We shot videos, raved about the hotel on instagram and youtube, but will now be actively not supporting this hotel unless a manager or owner contacts me directly, refunds the money and/or compensates us with another stay. (The hotel was great but the false advertising was predatory!)
