I have 3 bookings with this hotel in a total of 11 days stay in UK. The first booking of 6 nights was quite nice, staffs are very polite and helpful, the room cleaning was okay, the only negative impression was the room was very old comparing to what I saw on the website photos, which was very shock for me during the first day. The 2nd booking for 3 nights became a nightmare. I always require room cleaning everyday and when I came back on the 2nd night, I found out that the shower base wasn’t cleaned at all because hairs and pink shower gel was still left on the floor with the clean bath mat put on top. I asked the reception they said they had no housekeeping during the night. The reception lady promised that she would put a note asking for cleaning the shower base at 9am in the morning so I can take a shower after, and have housekeeping again to make the whole room. She did put the note but I don’t think the information was well received by the housekeeping staffs who seem not being able to understand English very well. One housekeeping lady came in the morning to clean the shower base, but didn’t come again to make the whole room even though I put the “please make the room” tag on the door knob just in case. I spoke to the same reception lady but was told there’s nothing she could do with a tone sounded a bit impatient. Why hire someone who can’t correctly understand the tasks in English and why they can’t be nicer to customers who had bad experiences staying the hotel?
