The Address Residence seems to be privately owned units managed by many companies.
The management company messaged me via Hotels.com asking me to send them a copy of my passport via WhatsApp. I think that’s inappropriate and it made me feel uncomfortable. I sent the document and confirmed my arrival time so an agent can meet me to let me in the unit.
When I arrived I was contacted by 2 other agents over the phone and via WhatsApp creating a lot of confusion. They again asked for passport and arrival time even though I was already in the building.
The moment I walked into the unit the smell of mildew hit me. The agent claimed he couldn’t smell anything. Then we were greeted with a dead cockroach.
The bedding had an unpleasant detergent aroma that gave me a headache. The fridge and freezer were not working properly. I left a water bottle in the freezer for 2 days and I didn’t freezer or get that cold.
The bathtub is a hazard for anyone with mobility issues or for small children. You basically have to take a very big step to get over the 50+ cm edge that is also 20 cm deep. The bathroom fan doesn’t seem to work and again the bathroom reeks of mildew. The place need some serious cleaning, a dehumidifier, and an air purifier. The air vent most definitely needs cleaning.
Before checking out I got a message from yet another random number asking me when I’ll check out despite the fact I told the agent I will be checking out at 11 and signed to that effect the day of checking in.
