Definitely stay here in Siena
Great hotel. Professional, friendly, helpful staff in all positions. Nice room, beautiful views. The only tricky part is parking. Make sure you have a definite plan in place before you arrive at the top of the mountain. You may not drive into the restricted area just past the hotel. The hotel does have small lots and valet right in front of the door (although it looks like a no parking zone).

THE place from which to experience Siena!
We chose Hotel Athena because we’d stayed there before and loved it. This time was the same! It’s located at the wall of the city center so it’s walkable to all the restaurants, sights and shops therein and has free onsite parking. The breakfast is expansive and delicious, served in a delightful room. Rooms are clean, comfortable and good sized. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful.
