I had a horrible experience with the front desk clerk. When I arrived at the desk to checkout nobody was there. When she appeared, she looked at me very annoyed and irritated. I told her I just want to checkout, hand her the keys and get my receipt. She told me "look at that sign, it says "drop keys here". I said, "yes, I see that, but I wanted to speak to someone and get a receipt. Oh, that just annoyed her even more. Keep in mind, she is the front desk clerk!! She then hesitated to give me a receipt and thankfully she did because her name was on it. She then gave me the receipt, and it felt so awkward and cold at that point I just grabbed the receipt and left. She then said, "DO NOT snatch that paper from me"!! I said, "excuse me"? She said, "you heard me"! I was in complete shock she had the nerve and comfort level to speak to a paying guest simply asking to checkout properly. I work in Guest Services in Vegas so this absolutely blows my mind and if this wasn't Leesburg, Florida this woman would be fired on the spot where I work. So, I then said, "what is your name"? She ignored me and hid in the back office, so I just left. Thankfully I got that receipt because her name is on it and I can now take this all the way up the corporate because this definitely wasn't her first time speaking to guests like this. I usually stay at Hilton, but this desolate area didn't have many options to book for the night. Corporate has been contacted and is investigating this employee!
