No where in Expedia or the hotels website did it say the pool was closed, I even double checked the website the day before to see the pools open hours. Once I arrived at the hotel I saw the sign from the front desk and I didn’t want to check in because the pool was the biggest amenity I was looking for. The front desk worker said they had been telling whom ever that they needed to update the websites about that. I was never called, texted, emailed, messaged on Expedia or anything about it. I tried to cancel the reservation but they said it was too late and I would have to contact Expedia, which I did and the reply I received was “ Unfortunately, after multiple tries, we weren't able to obtain an approval from the property manager to waive the cancellation fee.”. I will never book here again. I am very disappointed they didn’t refund my reservation for the inconvenience on THEIR end. We ended up staying next door at the Hampton Inn and it was a great stay there, the pool was open, they had a great breakfast and the staff was very kind. Do not stay at the Holiday Inn if you’re trying to take your kids swimming while out of town, they will not contact you about their pool not being functional.
