I was in town for the State Bowling Tournament. This hotel was closecto the 1st bowling center for the tournament and I've stayed at other AmericInn hotels before, this by far was the worst one. Pool out of order due to complete hotel renovations. This wasn't mentioned at the time of booking. Rooms were dated. On a positive note, the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was a joke. 2 types of cereal and a waffles maker.

The light didn’t have a cover on it and it was hanging down. There was no front to the drawers. The bathroom was filthy. There was just a blanket on the bed. There was stuff left in the fridge raider from the previous person.

Do Not Recommend!
The bedding was clean but it was stained. The floors needed vacuuming, the toilet was dirty. There were no kleenex, no soap, no hand towels. Only 1 bath towel. The service was terrible. The curtains had burn holes in them. There's only a sheer curtain over the window. No clock and no working phone. The pool is out of order. There was only a few people staying in the hotel. I learned my lesson by not reading the reviews before booking. I definitely won't stay there again.

Not a great hotel
The pool was not working. The ice machine was not working. We had to ask for towels in our room and there were no Kleenex in the room. Continental breakfast had no fruit bagels or donuts. Just a little cereal, a waffle maker, juice and coffee. As we were leaving we also noticed that the fire alarm system had not been inspected in 2023 which is illegal. My sister who stayed with me in the room works for simplex grinnell and noticed that it had not been inspected. There's also $100 deposit for the room that we were not told about in advance. All in all a very disappointing stay.

Usually had to have cell phone handy if you needed someone at the front desk as they seemed to be understaffed. Now towels or spare toilet paper in the bathroom. Elevator and Ice machine were both out of order. At least our room was on the ground floor. At least it was clean.

We got a very good price!! But, When we arrived we had to wait for at least 5 minutes for someone to come to the counter. We had to charge $100 extra to our credit card that is to be refunded rather than just put a card on file for incidentals. The room had one towel, no hand towels, wash cloths or soap, when we called down for them we had to go pick them up. They didn’t want to bring them to us. The shower wasn’t very clean! The bedspread was a full size on a king bed and their pillows were old. We were glad we always bring our own. No coffee pot in our room and breakfast was done and cleaned up by 9, no weekend extension. I guess we got what we paid for!!

The property was bare bones and minimally maintained. Bed linens for example had been washed but had stains. Towels were just one skimpy stained wash cloth and a thin bath towel. No hand towel or flooring mat. No trash can. Had a working fridge but was heavy encrusted in frost. No light tight curtains. I did not make use of the pool area or breakfast area so can’t comment on that. The closet area had no clothes hangers. The ceiling light enclosures all had dead insects. For $50 per night I suppose not awful but no place I’d recommend for a friend.

Comforter was ripped, the shower curtain rod was ripping out of the wall. Most importantly I was given no towels, when I went and asked for some the worker gave me some I took them back to my room and they had a lot of stains on them. I went back to get different ones and same thing happened, he took me to the laundry room and gave me more towels with stains on them, I was very unhappy

This property looked abandoned when we pulled in. When we checked in, I was charged a $100 security deposit plus the room charge. When we got to our room, the pillows were dirty, one bed had a comforter and no sheet while the other bed only had a sheet. We asked for a different room which was no better. We then asked for a refund and went to a diffuser hotel. I was surprised by the condition of the property. The pool was drained. One of the exterior doors was unsecured and broken, a window in the pool area was broken and the pool area had refrigerators stored in it.
We have an Americinn in Sioux City that looks nothing like the one in Davenport. I don’t think I’ll ever book one again.
