Staff was great, friendly and helpful.
Hallways smelled of cannabis and cigarettes.
Elevator had buttons that did not light up when used.
Room door very difficult to open, would stick and key card would only work after 4 tries.
Room smelled awful, unlike anything I've ever smelled. It was strong and present the entire time. We tried opening the window but there was no screen so this was only an option on the first day, while we were in the room. It was colder out and daytime (so we didn't have to worry about bugs coming in.)
There were many patch attempts around the room.
Many of the outlets would not allow for a plug to be put in all the way which made us uncomfortable to use them (hazardous.)
Fridge was good, air conditioner was loud and smell came from that side of the room.
Beds were clean and very comfortable. Linens were soft.
Parking was always available.
Breakfast was ok. There were many options: muffins, pastry, bagels, eggs, sausage, yogurt, cereal, waffles, fresh fruit, etc. But here were ants on the counters in the area.
Overall the amount we paid ($200-350 a night!!) was ridiculous for what we got. Which was a run down, poorly maintained budget motel with great staff. It was clearly inflated by 3xs because of the fair taking place.
I would not recommend staying here if you have other options unless it is less than $100 a night, and even then adjust your expectations.
