No frills hotel was fine for just a night. Great location to the comedy club we went to, lots of restaurants and bars walkable. Wish they wouldn’t have filled in the pool. Did see some small ants in the bathroom.

Nice place, slightly rough area.
Eastside lodge is just a 15 minute walk from down town Portland. The area seems fairly safe, although if on foot you will encounter a homeless person. There are lots of cool little bars and eating spots around you don't need to go down town for that. Room was clean. Had a shower rather than a bath tub, which I appreciate. The bed was very squeaky. There was a fridge and microwave. All in all decent experience.
