Freezing
Went for a weekend with my wife just to hang out. Good location. The room was clean when we arrived. After check-in, the front desk person explained that parking was a couple of blocks away. The parking lot was completely full. Called the front desk to ask where to park and they told me to figure it out and just park anywhere. Even just out in the middle. I was glad no one backed into me. The bed was not very comfortable. My wife woke up in the morning with back pain. The main issue we had was the room was freezing. I don't think the furnace was working very well and the room had 14-foot ceilings. So, any heat we did have just floated up. Also, the continental breakfast was very small. A few pastries and that was about it. Not terrible but not great. Don't think I'll be staying there again.

2/10 Poor

Designed for discomfort
No housekeeping for a week, no view, rolling a/c unit in room, tub faucet that leaked out the back when the shower was on, no desk or work area to speak of, terrible internet connectivity (<1M), "roach motel" bait in the corner of the room. I've stayed in bigger rooms in Manhattan. The whole room felt designed to encourage its tenant to "upgrade" by gambling at the casino -- an option which was conveniently displayed on a placard on the dresser.

Room was dirty! Leftovers in the fridge, toilet wasn’t cleaned, stains on bed tables and no toilet paper in the room. Gave us another room to move to without saying anything and no discount

Convenient & Quiet Hotel!
Quaint & convenient hotel to the historic Deadwood downtown area. I was on a solo road trip just for the heck of it and I felt safe staying here. The room was quiet, cozy, and gave me a place to relax when not site-seeing.

The rooms were pretty small. The noise from the Bodega Bar was very noticeable and distributing to sleep. The AC was portable and the room got hot easily. The coffee was decent in the morning, and the staff were very acceptable and considerate. The parking was decent for the way deadwood is set up.

While the town is quaint and the location was great, the room was incredibly small, full of flies and had gross moldy shower curtain. The solution to the flies was for my husband to use a fly swatter. He killed 8 huge flies in our room just so we could sleep without them using our heads as landing pads. We asked for room service only one day. Nope - had to retrieve our own towels and throw out yeah out ourselves. They said they would do it but never showed. I really don’t need much as we were not in the will that much but the shower curtain is made to unsap for cleaning and it obviously doesn’t get cleaned often.
