The staff were amazing. Mackenzie & Michelle(?) at the front desk, Dennis the shuttle driver, the ladies who worked the breakfast buffet, & the bartender/server at the bar/grill were all very friendly & provided excellent customer service. The only qualms we had were with the condition of our room & the establishment overall. Considering the Hilton/Doubletree reputation, we were surprised by the condition of our room.
There is a definite need for this property to be renovated. In our room, the wall had wallpaper paste all over it. The carpet was frayed at the entry way to the room. In the bathroom, the grout in the shower was black & the exhaust fan was half hanging out of the ceiling. The shower was difficult to use & the water only came out very hot. The dresser in our room had a lot of scratches & a chunk missing out of it & one of the bedside lamps had a lot of chips in it. We were also disappointed with the breakfast buffet. Considering the price ($18 per person), the selection wasn't spectacular & most of the food that was supposed to be hot was barely warm or even cold.
Given the price per night along with the additional charges of parking, breakfast, etc. we were just disappointed. There isn't an enclosed walkway from the parking garage to the hotel, which in the winter is a bummer. I don't think we will stay at this location again because of the cost & condition. We've stayed at hotels (even motels) that have cost less per night & were much better quality.
