The hotel itself is nicer than it seems it is online. The front desk is available 24 hours, which is rare for Italy. They let us check our bags at 9 am and check in at 10- which is super nice. There are no elevators and they don’t help you bring up your bag, so be prepared to carry your bag to the third floor . However, the room was nice and the bathroom was too. The location is incredible!!! It’s loud at night, but what do you except for being in such a prime location? Definitely recommend

Our room with a full size bed and bunk beds was perfect for our family of four, including 6 and 7 year olds. The room was clean and had a great view. The location was perfect for our early morning tour of the the Coliseum and was close to restaurants, a supermarket, and bus stops.

Good location right across from the coliseum. NO elevator so you have to drag your bags up to the third floor. Staff was great and lots of dining options in the immediate area. Road and bars are very noisy till late. Overall good location.

Location is great. Rooms are okay - clean but small. You have to leave your room key with the front desk every time you go out with is strange. Its a convenient hotel near the Colosseum for a short stay, but if youre staying in Rome for a longer period of time, I would find a little nicer hotel.

Every thing was great , the only problem was related to elevator , there is no elevator on this building and it’s hard to go up by stairs specially to 3rd floor .

Excellent location in relation to the colosseum and a range of very good restaurants and bars. The front desk employee during the day could not have been more helpful and cordial. However, they advertise a 24 hour front desk service, but upon our arrival in the evening the night worker told us he would lock the door at midnight and was overtly hostile about us getting back late - it wouldnt be a problem if they just didnt advertise themselves as open 24 hours, even on their own website. He was also clearly there at the reception all night so we didnt understand what the problem was - assumed he simply didnt want to have to do anything post midnight. Also you have to leave your keys at the reception when you leave the hotel, including to your room which feels strange. Obviously most hotels have master keycards anyway so can get into your room regardless but at least you arent locked out if the staff arent around to let you back in. Overall Id say acceptable if you have kids or arent someone that goes out late, but Romes nightlife with its restaurants open late and rooftop bars etc means that if you really want to experience the city fully the door policy makes this venue less optimal.

Pros- great location with a view of the colosseum from the room. Helpfull staff. Very nice and clean room. Cons-located above several bars and music was playing until 2-3am. Very difficult to get any sleep. Also you have to turn your room keys in everytime you leave and stop by the desk again when you get back to get them.

Would stay again.
4 floors with luggage and no elevator was a bit much. The staff did help though. They were very helpful with taxis and information. Very pleasant too. VERY well positioned in the ancient town.

The property is extremely run down and smells of sewage. Could use extensive renovations, fresh paint, etc. The front desk staff are either rude ot creepy depending on who you get. The only redeeming factor is its location.

Great place to stay in the heart of Rome. This was our first trip there and to be able to wake up to a view of the Colosseo everyday is amazing. Very clean, staff are helpful and you have easy access to everything, many things are within walking distance. There are a few hidden gems for breakfast and evening meals on the streets behind the property which are priced well and serve fantastic food and coffee. The only small issue is that the bar underneath tends to stay open until 2am and you can slightly hear the music, but we we’re directly above the bar and it didn’t bother us (when we were home before 2am at least). Great little authentic spot right in the heart of Rome, we’ll definitely be back.

They did not have our reservation at check-in. Not sure why. Front desk agent was very friendly though and was able to secure us a room at a sister hotel, but it was by the train station.

Oh well…
Hotel is in between two bars. Very noisy at night. Not a ‘family friendly’ location. Otherwise hotel is acceptable. Service is friendly.

Perfect place for anyone who is eager to explore Rome. Everything is in the walking distance, subway is next door for longer trips, restaurants with the view on the Coliseum. The room was spacious, extremely clean, with ton of storage place, fridge, everything you need. The staff is very helpful. Love our little vacation and sure will stay here again for the next accession.

We were moved from our original hotel booking due to hotel problems to a place very far away from our intended stay. It is a very dangerous neighborhood where we were moved to. Very upset about it.

Staff is nice, but there are some negatives
The listing says 24 hour front desk, but actually it was only morning through 3 pm. I asked what happens if I lose the key, and was told not to do that. But there is a phone number that hopefully rolls over. Located above a restaurant area, it was hard to sleep because I could hear people happily enjoying themselves, sometimes with music, until 4 AM on the weekends and 2 AM otherwise. This is probably the case for any hotel above outdoor restaurants. These restaurants are closed when tourists like to eat breakfast, but there are some places you can walk to. I didn't mind not having an elevator, but you should ask how many floors there are if walking up three flights is a problem. The man happily carried my suitcase up, though. Staff was nice. My room had a small step going from the front door, which you could trip on if you got distracted. The liquid soap for the shower did not come out in comfortable quantities. The room's floor was very beautiful, but slippery when wet. It is extremely convenient to the Colosseum and its metro stop. The staff was so nice I feel bad about writing all these negative things. I'd actually consider staying there again if I was on a vacation schedule instead of a "business schedule"

Not what I expected
Nightclub downstairs from hotel. They go to wee hours of the morning (3am on Saturday night) Sunday and Monday they were still partying as well. And people everywhere on the street, drinking, yelling and eveeything in between. Had my room moved to a higher floor after 1st night. No elevators to help with lugging your luggage. The beds were the most uncomfortable beds. It was like sleeping on concrete slabs. The only plus was it was right next to the Colosseum. Couldn't wait to leave. The people were nice but it's not enough to ever stay here again.
