Given that the island is a bit off of the beaten path and hard to get to, for the average traveler, the representative that we had from Casa Burano, Leonardo, was extremely accommodating and helpful and communicated often and effectively. The house itself is beautiful, up-to-date amenities and very clean modern but with rustic touches. Would absolutely recommend 5/5. I’ve never seen a sky so blue!!

8/10 Very Good

We contacted Casa Burano twice as requested but didn’t have a response. Eventually we tracked down and tried a difficult email address and got in touch, however, we were expecting Casa Burano to get in touch with us as arranged through Hotels.com. Passport details provided but seemingly not received by our hosts so had to be provided again. Collected from the vaparetto and shown to our room which was lovely. Breakfast was fine but again not much information about what was provided. We arrived for breakfast and nobody was there to explain the breakfast procedure however breakfast was nice. It was a special trip as it was my birthday so a little disappointed that the administration was a little lacking.

A group of four of us spent two very enjoyable nights at Casa Burano. Communication before we arrived was good and we were met off the number 12 water taxi from Venice. The property we stayed in was about a five minute walk from the landing stage and had obviously recently been renovated to a very high standard. The two rooms we had were very well appointed and the bed very comfortable. We liked the fact that there was tea and coffee available in the common areas and it was possible to sit outside in the sun in the back courtyard. Breakfast was excellent, about ten minutes walk away across a vineyard in the hotel/ restaurant building. We ate in the restaurant on the second evening and had a very good meal. Access to Venice is an enjoyable 40 minute boat trip away. Staying in Burano overnight is quite an experience as everything closes but still very atmospheric. We’d have no hesitation in recommending a stay here, although it’s of course not the cheapest option!

4/10 Fair

Dishonest and blatantly lied
Son & I traveled to Venice & stayed in the city center the majority of trip with exception of 2 nights. 1 here & another close to Marco Polo airport (great experience). This was only hotel we had an issue with during our amazing trip to Venice. Couldn’t find it. Itinerary sent us a picture of a beautiful pink home with green shutters. that home did not exist. Google map took us to a shop, NEW ARTE FUGA MURANO GLASS.. after an 1 1/2 hours searching we went and talked to the shop owners. They said this happens all the time. Helped us contact Casa Bruano & EVENTUALLY a representative met us there & walked us to a building that looked nothing like the pictures on listing (photo below). Weather started to turn bad and everything was closing. Typically everything on the island closes at 7 PM but this evening it closed at 5 due to weather. NO DINNER due to the issues we had with check-in. Complained to hotels.com that the description was not accurate. Casa Bruano stated that they offered us dinner due to the challenges. This was a BLATENT LIE. Unfortunately, Casa Bruano never apologized & became very RUDE & DISRESPECTFUL. Apparently they have check in at the attached island and then they walk you to 1 of 5 of their properties. The exterior was not attractive but the interior was very nice and clean. Had we known this information in advance we may not have had such a poor experience. Sadly Casa Buena refuses to refund any portion of our stay and will not take any responsibility

Bellissima Burano
We were looking for something that bit special and Casa Burano ticks all the boxes. Loved our stay in every way, the rooms were so stylish and immaculate, such a stunning spot. The breakfast box was really lovely in the morning. If you're looking for Burano, don't look any further, just book, you most certainly won't be disappointed.

Beautiful renovated small place. Only a few rooms available, so it respects the island’s peacefulness. They thought of many little details! Spending a night in Burano is a wonderful experience. Definitely recommend staying at Casa Burano!

Design at its best
Burana is known for its colourful fisherman's houses with shutters set along canals and piazzas. This hotel is located within a number of these colourful houses beautifully presented to enhance and tie in with the houses around them. There is a feeling of a village and Burana reverts to that at 6 pm when the bulk of the tourists leave on the ferries. The houses of the hotel have been renovated inside and the hotel rooms with large bathrooms showcase what is best in modern design in how the room functions and how it looks. The simplicity of the design and the attention to detail make this a place that you want to replicate when you get home. A truly memorable experience. To add to this on the opposite side of the canal was a Michelin restaurant with outside dining.

Incredible, secluded experience
We had an amazing stay on Burano! An incredibly beautiful offshoot of Venice with fewer people, especially if you stay overnight. We felt like we had the islands (there's a bridge to Mazzorbo) to ourselves after about 6PM. Contrary to other reviews, we had no problem getting dinner on a Sunday night, though this was peak season. This was the favorite, most memorable part of our Venice trip. The hotel experience itself was lovely and the staff go out of their way to orient you on the island.

Hidden gem in Burano, stay here instead of Venice
Burano is a hidden gem, if you want to escape the crowds and see how the locals live, this is the place. The property has been tastefully renovated and was extremely comfortable for our stay. Great bed, nice breakfast and lovely bathroom.
