Little Gem
We loved this place. It's a fantastic location close to Crater Lake. Although our cabin was close to the road it wasn't too noisy and the facilities inside surprised us. The bathroom was fine with a decent shower and the room facilities quite adequate. We stayed in cabin 9 which had 2 beds - a small double and a single, fridge and microwave and air conditioning, which was very welcome, if a little noisy. The outside seating area was lovely and the ice cream shop across the road not to be missed! We stayed on a Monday so couldn't visit Beckies cafe sadly, as it is not open Mondays. There are many walking options from the site but it's only a short drive to Crater Lake and ideal to get an early start there.

The location if very remote. Cell phone service does not work. WiFi is available but unworkable during normal evening hours. If you get up at 4:00 am and nobody else it using it, it might work somewhat. The cabins are very old, dilapidated and covered with moss. Our cabin had a tarp over part of the roof. If we were to go back to Crater Lake, we would rent a cabin at Diamond Lake insted.

Needed to upgrade to a larger and nicer cabin on arrival, because the basic is a giant bed that takes up the whole small room with a tiny microwave and coffee maker with no place to sit down and a very old small bathroom. The cabin with a kitchen was lovely. Warning-though it advertises wifi, we were only able to get online once in three days. I’d say no wifi because it was so frustrating. Aramark had just purchased the property and Park Service improvements will likely manage the inconsistencies we found.

The cabin smelled musty mixed with some cheap room fragrance. The room was kind of dirty, old, with toilet having ring stain. Yes this is a closest lodging to Crater Lake if inside the park is not available. But for the price, it was rather disappointing.

This is a rustic lodge located near Crater Lake National Park. The staff is very friendly and helpful, welcoming and friendly. This is not someplace to stay if you need cell phone and internet as they are spotty or not available at all. A really fun place to stay and enjoy peace and quiet away from distractions.

It’s a beautiful rustic place! The hikes along the Rogue River gorge and natural bridge were awesome. We loved the fall colors! And we loved the terrific food from Becky’s.

Loved it at Union Creek. Staff was nice. I stayed in a small rustic cabin and I enjoyed it. It doesnt have anything fancy and I wasnt looking for that. It was quiet and cozy. You dont feel completely alone which I appreciated as a soloist. Reception is sketchy but what fo uou expect out in the woods. I definitely want to go back. It was beautiful. And also near enough to Crater Lake for a short drive.

Comfortable Cabin Stay
Union Creek Resort was a very warming stay. Great place to relax after a day of hiking at Crater Lake. Great place to disconnect from the real world and enjoy the company of family. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area and gave great tips! I would stay here again!

Rooms at Union Creek don't include a bathroom in the room (it's down the hall), though there is a sink, fridge & microwave. There is only 1 chair in the room so a 2nd person needs to sit on the bed. Floors are creaky so you hear anyone in the hallway. Staff was friendly and rooms seemed clean, bed was OK, towels were fluffy.

This is one of the convenient lodging options for visiting Crater Lake. The location is great, and the surroundings are excellent. The accommodation is cabin, and so set your expectations properly. It is not luxury and there are lot of things that need to improved. We chose a unit with shower and kitchen, but the overall experience is not up to our expectations. Here are some details: One of the bed has a dirty sheet: apparently the housekeepers didn't change the sheet from the previous guest! as we saw hairs and wrinkles caused by the previous guest stay. We tried to contact the front desk, but they are gone after 6pm. So we just had to deal! We had puppy, and she found a dead mouse inside the kitchen. Upon further inspection, I found the mouse still trapped in the trap underneath the cabinet. I then found another trap, and so we had to hide those traps for our puppy's safety. At least the housekeeper should dispose the trapped mouse, which seemed long dead. The shower wasn't cleaned at all. There was still a used soup on the soup holder! There are some utensils and cooking ware, but we dared not to use for obvious reasons. Upon checking out, I provided the honest feedback to the front desk girl in a very amicable way as I knew it wasn't her fault, but her only reply after hearing my story was "OK", nothing else! No apologies or any further inquiries! Wow. They could make this a very charming place if they tried but apparently they don't seem to care at all.

The hospitality was amazing. Loved that you can walk across the street for awesome food. It was close to Crater Lake. Had WiFi to help us to our next destination because otherwise we wouldn't have signal with either ATT or Verizon in such a remote area.

Rustic
The cabin we had was one of the smaller units available. It was very rustic, just like the others on the property. Because this property is so remote, yet convenient to Crater Lake, do not expect to have cell service. They do have wifi but it operates at a speed of about 1.3 MG. You need to be patient. We were there in September and the office/store/front desk was open from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. They do have a restaurant across the street that is open 8:00 am to 7:00 pm.

A place to lay your head for the night a night.
The checking in was great as well as the checkout. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The cabins are ok but obvious they are having issues just keeping them habitable. One of the three beds was unusable as it looked like an old swayback horse. The bathroom was ok except for the cleanliness of the bath/shower. Bathroom flooring is coming up. It was disgusting. The interior of the rooms was ok just plain. Not a single picture on the walls just light blue semigloss painted walls. If you are looking for a place to sleep for the night great but don't expect anything more.

Very disappointed, this place was awful, couldn’t wait to leave. Internet was awful, no tv, felt like I was bothering the owners, asking questions. Got there on a rainy night, place had no lighting to be able to see, the owners I guess saw me going around in circles, and showed me where to go……
