Wonderful stay!
My stay was everything I could have hoped for! The staff went above and beyond anything I could have expected. The entire establishment was, clean, quiet and eco-friendly. I have already booked my second stay.

Great room and hotel
We had the “extra” queen room which was worth the extra cost. Bed was comfortable, staff was super friendly, and location in Williamsburg is perfect. Close to shops and restaurants and close to subway stations.

8/10 Very Good

Pros: The room was VERY clean with fluffy, high quality towels. There is a grocery store just feet from the front door and a Whole Foods around the corner. This area of Brooklyn has amaaaazing culture, fantastic restaurants and food trucks. As a woman, I felt 100% safe and loved seeing hundreds of women walking alone at night without a worry. Be sure to grab pizza @ Little Italy’s Pizza. The slices are gigantic, crazy cheap & delicious!! Seriously, it’s the Best pizza we’ve ever had. We tried Joe’s Pizza which made the top 10 pizza spots in Brooklyn but it was basic, boring, and not impressive. Cons: It’s a good thing that my husband and I are laid back and can find the humor in unusual situations! If you drive into Brooklyn, just know you have to park in a separate, underground parking deck ($30 a day) and it’s not connected to the hotel at all. You’ll be carrying all of your luggage up a long, steep ramp, so definitely unload your car IN FRONT of the hotel before parking. Room was extremely small. If you’re traveling alone, it’s great but not for families. We had to turn sideways to pass each other and we’re average sized haha. The bed is against the wall on one side, no nightstand or walking space. The toilet IN THE SHOWER. We found this funny but others might not. We only spent one night so it wasn’t a big deal. We will def stay here again, now that we know what to expect.

2/10 Poor

No Empathy
Landed at midnight in Newark and called the hotel to ensure they could accommodate my check in, person at the desk said it would be no problem. Arrived to the hotel at 1:30 and was told there were no rooms available and I could not stay there. Was then told there are no available rooms in the area. After about 45 minutes of searching I was offered a bunk bed room at the Pod in Times Square for $900/night. I asked for a refund ($1200) and was told I could not have one because I did not book directly with the hotel. The desk staff at Times Square was more sympathetic and offered me a discount to accommodate.

One step above a Hostel
Location is great, rooms are clean and tiny, check-in was easy and polite but “service” and amenities are old-school College dorm at best. Restaurant was “temporarily” closed; a morning only, single k-cup coffee maker in the lobby for all guests to share was thw only morning wale-up option. No juice, no water, no vending, no place to purchase anything without leaving the hotel (We’re being punked right?) Narrow hallways were being painted with active guests passing thru. Fumes were pervasive. Upon checkout, they had the nerve to add an unannounced “facilities fee” to my prepaid invoice. Said it was compulsory for bike rentals etc….. say what? I didn't rent a bike or take advantage of any theoretical facility amenities- not even housekeeping services!! . There were ni amenities to speak of. My expectations for the POD hotel were not tthat high to begin with but I’ll not stay here again because of this act of unannounced extortion. Pod corporation should be better than this.

Sons wedding in Brooklyn!
It’s literally “a Pod”… but exceptionally quiet, clean, great views, very kind staff & conveniently located…Stayed 3 nights- very much enjoyed it!

6/10 Good

Not the best
The positives; good location in Williamsburg and friendliness of staff. The absolute tiniest room I have ever stayed in. The toilet is actually in the shower area and there is nowhere to put your luggage. This is not the hotels fault but obnoxious drunk people who are super loud at 2 or 3 in the morning, were you raised with zero thoughtfulness to others?? Also, you need to let your guests know on your website before they book that the amazing rooftop is indefinitely closed! The only reason we stayed here was the proximity to my daughter. Most likely won’t stay again in this particular Pods.
