Pros: The room was VERY clean with fluffy, high quality towels. There is a grocery store just feet from the front door and a Whole Foods around the corner. This area of Brooklyn has amaaaazing culture, fantastic restaurants and food trucks. As a woman, I felt 100% safe and loved seeing hundreds of women walking alone at night without a worry. Be sure to grab pizza @ Little Italy’s Pizza. The slices are gigantic, crazy cheap & delicious!! Seriously, it’s the Best pizza we’ve ever had. We tried Joe’s Pizza which made the top 10 pizza spots in Brooklyn but it was basic, boring, and not impressive.
Cons: It’s a good thing that my husband and I are laid back and can find the humor in unusual situations!
If you drive into Brooklyn, just know you have to park in a separate, underground parking deck ($30 a day) and it’s not connected to the hotel at all. You’ll be carrying all of your luggage up a long, steep ramp, so definitely unload your car IN FRONT of the hotel before parking.
Room was extremely small. If you’re traveling alone, it’s great but not for families. We had to turn sideways to pass each other and we’re average sized haha. The bed is against the wall on one side, no nightstand or walking space.
The toilet IN THE SHOWER. We found this funny but others might not. We only spent one night so it wasn’t a big deal. We will def stay here again, now that we know what to expect.
