Upon arrival we were told, "You two couples are staying in another hotel down the road for two nights, it's not a problem". As a party of three couples, who had carefully selected this hotel for a five night skiing holiday, we were most upset. No kind of apology was forthcoming from the owners, we were simply told, "It's only for two nights, it's not a problem". The alternative accommodation was vastly inferior, and we refused to accept this. So, the two couples booked themselves into a suitable standard hotel, which was eventually paid for by the owners, after we had demanded compensation for the dreadful start to our holiday.
Such a shame, since the hotel is lovely, and immaculately presented. The owners need to learn some manners.
