Let's see if I can give a useful description :-) It feels like a very nice old-school hotel. If I was looking for a place to put up a business traveler, or a visiting speaker I was having in, I'd feel very comfortable with having them there. In particular, the soundproofing was really good -- I stayed on the third floor, directly above the Italian restaurant across the street, and right next to the elevator, and didn't hear a thing -- and the breakfast, well, I usually skip hotel breakfasts, but this was actually good. However, by old-school, I mean that it's configured on the assumption that you're going to be out and about most of the day, and come back to sleep or change your clothes. If you were planning to stay in the room for large chunks of the day, because it's a personal hanging out trip, or for all of it, because your PCR came back the wrong way, and you have to quarantine, it'd feel, um, tight, and you'd notice that amenities you find in more modern-concept hotels (fridges and microwaves, like that) aren't there.
So, overall: if you're going to be mostly out and about, this is a really nice place to stay. I absolutely recommend. If you're going to be mostly in, maybe look around a bit more.
