Staff were courteous and helpful. The hotel is averge but functional. It is located in a convenient location close to all amenities. People with mobility issues may find it challenging to stay in this hotel.

Handy spot and nice rooms
Great little place just a stones throw away from all the action in Amsterdam. Despite this, it was a fairly quit spot out of the way of the chaos. Ideal room for sleeping and washing. No frills but we didn't mind because all you do is get ready to go out for the day. Bathroom was actually very nice and clean. Complimentary tea and coffee were appreciated especially as we didn't include breakfast in our stay. Room might get a little stuffy, but nothing an open widow couldn't fix. Just be aware that if you are near the entrance you do hear the breakfast prep and plates clanking in the morning. It's not majorly early but if we'd popped in some earplugs that would have sorted it. Also one very minor downside, our bathroom did smell the tiniest bit drain-y but again the window helped that. I imagine it was because the room was quite warm because we didn't notice it much. Staff were very efficient also.

This is a very charming boutique hotel. The building is 400 500 years old and beautiful. There is no AC and the elevator only goes up to 2nd floor. We had a medium sized luggage that was a little challenging to drag up. The hotel provided fans. Just know these facts before booking. Very good hotel and short walks to foods.

Unbearably hot during summer heat.Had attic room that was like a sauna. Opening windows and using fan did not help. Otherwise ok but expensive for what it was.

4/10 Fair

I was so disappointed with this stay. The person at the front was not friendly and hospitable. When we were having an issue with the vending machine which was in front of them they did not even say anything to assist. As soon as you walked into the hotel we noticed it was incredibly hot. There was no AC in any part of the hotel including the rooms. We were so incredibly hot. The only thing that was available were portable fans. Also the lighting in the hotel room was so unappealing that we kept the lights off the whole time. This was just such a disappointment.

Caro e ruim
Caro para o que oferece. Quarto ruim, sem ar. Quente e mal arejado. Além’ disso a escada de acesso é horrorosa. Principalmente para quem tem mobilidade reduzida ou crianças. O elevador só vai até o segundo andar. A única coisa boa é o atendimento da equipe.

Great little spot for a city break
Such a great hotel, the friendly staff (Khan especially) really did everything to make it a wonderful stay! My room was upgraded and had a fantastic view over the river. Really great facilities in the room plus free hot drinks in the lobby with the books and sitting areas were a great addition (you can bring a book to leave and take one which is really cool). The location is about 15 mins from the main train station so great for getting about and felt very safe wandering around in the evenings. Just a note that there is a lift, but only to the 2nd floor so if you're on the 3rd floor there's a steep staircase, not an issue for me but might be important for other people. There's also a few steps up to the front door.

2/10 Poor

NOWHERE says maximum 1 person per room / $$$ lost
Seeking refund. I went to hotel very late at night with my girlfriend after booking online. Then we checked in, paid city tax to hotel, got the whole introduction and room key etc. and then the guy asked how many people. After all that… I said 2, he said you both can’t stay here due to X regulations. And then we did a 5 minute back and forth dance of talk where it seemed like he was still trying to give the key card and “turn a blind eye” or something. Shady and made her uncomfortable, unsafe, hence I decided for leave and travel several hours back to Rotterdam in the middle of the night to stay with friends there in lieu or paying $300-500 for a typical room in Amsterdam. Solution, clearly state MAXIMUM 1 PERSON PER ROOM IN THIS HOTEL.
