Decent Place
Was my first time in Fez. Arrived by train from Marrakesh. My room was decent. Staffs were ok. You can arrange to have someone to meet you at the gate and walk you safely to the riad because there was no way I would be able to find this place on my own. Rooftop sitting area was also ok. Good place to get fresh air. Chatted with other guests.
I think it was 10 minutes walk to where all the restaurants are. Staff can also book for you a guide for city tour which I did. Guide met us at the riad and walked us back.
Now that I have been to Fez and learned from my experience, If I ever go back to Fez, I will actually find a better riad than this one. Not that it was a bad experience but I just feel there must be one that is way better for slightly more or less money. Just saying.

Don't stay here they put you somewhere else
They use their good reviews from trip advisor to get over booked and then send you some where else the place I got was not good. I could go on and on about everything that was wrong but I am not. The place they put me in was less money too. I booked 2 nights left after the first. But I paid on line through Hotels.com and I have tried cancel the room charges with 6 emails over 4days and no response.
the first email was on the first night. I am a gold member too. I have called before to change a reservation and they were great. But dealing with Hotels.com with emails, well non existent...

We were a party of four and booked two rooms. Due to the riad's room availability we were taken to another riad (Dar Tahrya) so we could stay together, which turned out to be better since the later looked nicer and had more light.
People were at both riads very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean; a minus point was the odour coming out from the pipes of the toilet (a not unusual issue in some old riads in Fes). Putting odorizers and incense just solved the problem partially. The breakfast was simple & OK (with instant coffee but Cafe Clock is located just 20m away from the riad).

Average accommodation, smelly bathrooms
We booked this accommodation due to good reviews on internet, but we found it just ok. The host/manager was not very friendly. The bathroom had an unpleasant smell. When we asked for laundry service, some cloths were returned without cleaning (without any word that not everything have been washed). At least we got partly our money back after pointing that out.
