Which way to the office?
I chose the Outback as a overnight stay, I wanted to leave early in the morning I wasn't waiting to 7am for breakfast (Outback doesn't offer any). I liked that a bar/lounge was nearby. I had a difficult time figuring out where the check in office was. The area is about 5 buildings that say Outback. The Motel is in the back of the complex and has no office. I stopped at the bar they told me where to go. The whole area is undulating terrain and although it is paved or stairs its hard for me to walk with bad knees. Anyway I drove to uphill side of the bar. The waitress said stairs I saw one downhill to a brightly lite Outback building then another building uphill that looked closed. I didn't want to climb 20 stairs to go to the wrong office, I went to the uphill office, which was the correct choice. I told the clerk I thought that choice should have been more obvious with a well lit sign. On the way down the stairs I got a splinter on the railing of the treated lumber stairway. Otherwise the room was okay. It had a coffee maker.

Everything was wonderful except the musty smell in the room. Some kind of mold or mildew was in the room - I noticed a former wet spot on the ceiling.

It's not the ritz so don't expect that. What it was, clean and stocked with towels and a fridge plus microwave. I travel with my small dog and they are pet friendly however like all the others they charge a fee 25 bucks.

Should've given a partial refund
The first thing we noticed was that a previous guest had left a shirt hanging on the back of the bathroom door and housekeeping missed it. The second thing was that the toilet wouldn't completely flush. It just filled with water, swirled around and slowly let a bit of the water out. I tried to call the front desk (because it closes at 10 instead of having a night clerk for emergencies, and it was 9:53) and that's when I noticed the third problem. The phone didn't work. At all. No dial tone. The screen just said "Disabled" and showed the wrong day, month and date. So I hurriedly used my cell phone to Google the number and call it before they left for the night. The guy from the desk, to his credit, did come over promptly, plunger in hand. He looked it over, said it probably just needed plunging, which he did, and it emptied out. Once. The next test flush it was back to slowly swirling. A couple more flushes got it to empty, but the tank took a while to fill between each flush. So it flushed about every third time. Rather than offer another room, or partial refund, he said he'd get onto housekeeping tomorrow about the shirt, get the toilet worked on tomorrow, etc. None of that helped because we were only staying one night. It definitely wasn't a $90 room, which is what I was charged. It should've been more like $60.

Awful motel
The motel was run down, there was no hot water, the hot tub that was advertised was dirty and the gate was locked, the TV would mess up if you pressed one certain button. I will never stay here again and I will make sure none of my friends ever stay there.

The property is very dated but the staff was nice and understanding, they allowed us to stay even though our dogs exceeded their weight restrictions which we were super grateful for! It was nice that it is set back off of the road and has a nice big yard in the back for us to walk the dogs. The staff came right away when we accidentally locked ourselves out of our room.
