Had a great 6 night stay. Quality for a good price. Do ask for a stay in one of the bigger rooms. Staff very pleasant, polite and helpful. No gym, no pool, no dining options. Location good.

short stay in Belem
The hotel is well located for the things I wanted to do/see whilst in Belem. My room was huge with a large double and a single bed. Both room and bathroom were very clean but staff forgot to restock shower gel. Wifi worked well and breakfast was good.

Cons :
1. WiFi was horrible in room 801. I had to open my door and stand in hallway to get signal. 3 days without WiFi. WiFi bad in reception/ restaurant area. I’m surprised I did not see this in previous comments. My phone worked just fine at other locations.
2. Very basic room.
3. Need bottle water.
4. Laundry was expensive, $15 for approximately 2lbs. I paid roughly the same in Fortaleza, Brazil. Perhaps that’s normal in Brazil.
Pros:
1. Great air condition, which is needed in Belem.
2. Hot water.
3. Nearby shopping mall with food court.
4. The night receptionist was helpful, also lady receptionist during day was nice.
5. Breakfast was pretty good.
Main complaint, no WiFi!

The check in staff was very helpful and friendly. Alynne was great, she could tell we were tired after traveling all night and allowed us to check in several hours early. This allowed us to get the sleep we needed to make our trip to Belem more enjoyable.

Not a great place if you're a Gringa/Gringo
Stayed here with my wife, and was by far the worst hotel experience. First of all, because I'm a gringa the hotel charged me more for things. I work in Brasil and my wife is residing here in Belém and USA. The hotel staff assumed that because I'm American. I hired a prostitute for my company. Everytime my wife would enter the hotel a new staff member would track us down an ask who she was. Now, when I my friends who are men came to the hotel they said nothing.
I put a "do not disturb" sign up and was called by management asking why. I lasted 4 days and left to Golden Tulip. If your American Golden Tulip is the Hotel for you. Not here. Worst hotel I have ever been too.

great Value
This is my 6th stay , and for the money it is a great value. The neighborhood at nite is not great but it is just a one block walk to the mall where you can eat in AC comfort. A walk to the main park down town is close. You are better off not getting a hotel too close to this park because of the loud music at night.
