I stayed here 7 days total over 3 bookings as I was in/out of Santiago for flights to Rapa Nui, the Atacama & Torres del Paine. Each stay was great. Why? Well, first, unlike the original place that I booked when I arrived in Santiago who flat out lied about the quality of their wifi (it barely worked even at their front desk!), this place has wifi that actually works which they proved after I had to call over to them and confirm that it did before I had to get a taxi over.
Once there, even though I had only booked 1 hour before, I got upgraded to a huge room for my first 2 nights w/a mini fridge (all rooms have them). All staff was helpful-all of them spoke good English which was helpful as my Spanish is marginal.
Breakfast was pretty good overall-lots of options & they had amazing pastries/cakes. Further, as the hotel is set way back there was no street noise.
The location is actually great as well-highly convenient-right next to a supermarket and a few restaurants, close to the metro, about a 15 min. walk to Plaza de Armas. The kicker is that it is about a 5 min. walk to the end of the line for the "Centro Aeropuerto" bus line direct to the airport-each way I paid about $2 US to get back and forth to the airport 5 different times in about 30-45 mins. I save a ton of taxi money.
This is not a super modern hotel in an upscale neighborhood like BellaVista but all the amenities were there and the rooms are quite spacious and well designed. And the price was just right!
