Perfect accommodation for our family trip to Lyme Regis, our children and dog were welcomed and felt so comfortable, very rare for us to visit the same place twice but I’d make an exception for the Royal Lion, we had the best time

Cleanliness was excellent. Housekeeping staff very pleasant and nothing too much trouble. Beautifully laundered white bedding and towels. Good food. Breakfast served in pleasant upstairs dining room. We stopped at this hotel just overnight on our way from Cornwall to Portsmouth, and I thought it was a good choice! I found it comfortable and clean, with a tasty breakfast and helpful staff. It's a short walk to the beach and the Cobb, so I was able to go out in the early morning to see it. I wish we could have stayed longer, and hope to come back and visit again!

Really lovely hotel. Very conveniently positioned. Had a lovely balcony room and the staff were so very friendly and professional. Only grievance was not being able to turn down, or off, the towel rail. Was too hot to the touch and also made the bathroom and bedroom way too hot.

Enjoyed the Royal Lion especially the location and free parking. We were allowed to park before check in time and after check out time which was particularly valuable for central Lyme Regis. The location in the heart of the town was ideal, we didn’t need the car at all during our stay. The hotel was very clean and freshly painted, but furniture and fittings a little dated. Our room sloped a bit, but all part of the charm of a period hotel. Reception efficient but not overly welcoming, which one generally expects in these times. On the whole we would recommend and would stay again.

The room was suppose to be deluxe, it was very small no dressing table, no room to sit and do my makeup, no room to dress. , no space to move around the toilet door scrapes the bathoom sink. The food was greasy, undercooked and bland. It was not worth £192!! Staff were friendly.
