Pleasant flat but disconcerting booking policies
This flat was very nicely appointed, the only issue we had was that despite adjusting the temperature controls in every room they appeared to make no difference to the actual temperature - they were either on or off regardless of the setting. However the booking policies, which are not mentioned clearly on this site, put us off travelling back. The owner wants you to send them photographic ID for every person staying and will only take a deposit by bank transfer so wants your bank details to pay it back - that's right, they want photo ID and your full bank account details, and photo ID for anyone you're travelling with - they also do not seem to understand why this isn't a good idea. Every other flat I've ever stayed in has taken a deposit by credit card. After threatening to cancel, they agreed to take a deposit by cash but no one bothered turning up to collect it. An alarm sounded in the hallway to the building continually whilst we were there and the managing agents for the building (nothing to do with those letting the flat as it was a communal area) didn't respond to attempts to contact them. Parking requires you to squeeze your car against a wall and back out onto a busy road right by a junction too - won't be back.
