We stayed here for 2 nights for the UVM Family Weekend. The price gouging on hotels in the area is shameful, and when I think of what we paid for this place, I honestly feel completely disgusted.
I'll say a couple of nice things before giving the lowdown. The bedding and towels were nice and the bed was comfortable.
That’s about it for any type of pleasant experience.
We arrived around 8:30 pm and there was no one at the desk. After waiting for about 10 minutes I knocked on both office doors, and there was no answer. I tried calling the main number and just listened to the phone ring as I basically stood next to it. When the desk clerk arrived and I told her how long I had been waiting, about 15 minutes at that point, rather than apologizing, she said that she had not been gone that long.
Everything in the hotel needs updating. The wallpaper in the bathroom was starting to bubble and peel off. While it looked like someone had cleaned the floor, sink, tub and toilet, there was mold on the ceiling, some parts of the shower, and in spots on the walls. The crowning glory was the roll of toilet paper that had brown staining all over the side. Luckily there was a spare roll available.
The pullout sofa was all springs. Also, when we removed the cushions, it was obvious that no one had cleaned under them as there were some nasty crumbs and part of a tortilla chip.
Overall, not a pleasant experience.
I was unable to attach photos of the tp and couch.
