Sake tasting and view of Tokyo Tower in the bar
Walking distance to Akihabara district & an hour to the airport by taxi/uber. Basic rooms with coach beds and bathroom - ours had a shower and soaking tub. What set it apart was the nightly free sake tasting on the 14th floor in the small bar area. They also offered a noodle night, with free small bowls of ramen. Simple and sweet, with view of the city and Tokyo Tower. Staff were very kind and helpful, and they stored our bags between checkout and our departure time.

Access: Naka-Okachimachi Station, Exit 1 (metro) is in front of the hotel. However, this exit has no elevator. To access with the elevator, probably 700 metres. Walking distance to Ueno station, JR Okachimachi and event Akihabara, Near Takeya 1 and 3, combinis and restaurants nearby. Hotel: My husband is a wheelchairer. We were given an option to pay extra for a universal room. I agreed and it was a good choice-close to the elevator, the ice machine and laundry. There were 2 windows but we could not open the curtains because the view was the 4 story hydraulic parking, so we had to turn the lights on all the time otherwise it was too dark. 2 luandry machines and 2 dryers, not crowded as people reviewed - rates were reasonable. You can exchange coins at reception. Staff of day shift was nice, helpful and polite. However, I experience a couple of incedents that I was upset. -The first night that we stayed, the fire alarm rang at 2 am. We were so scared because the announcement was repeated many times but in Japanese only. No Eng at all! I came down with some guests. A male staff at night shift did not explained much but kept saying that it was safe and fine to go back. This hotel accommodates many non-JP speaking guests, so I expected a better communication in case of emergency. - One time, staff left their (hotel ?)blankets in the washing machines and the dryers longer than 30 mins. I was upset because there was a sign 'not to leave the clothes for too long'.

This property is new and clean, but the rooms are TINY and is more of a Japanese “business hotel” with tiny rooms where all you can do is sleep and watch TV. The location is great as it’s maybe a 3 min walk from Okachimachi JR station. Couple of things that bugged me: I reserved a “deluxe” room with more room and it was still tiny, not sure how much smaller a “standard” room is. We asked for extra pillows the first night and they didn’t have any. They did give us a couple the second night. We also asked for late checkout but 4h extra stay till 2pm they wanted to charge 100% of the fee, basically an extra day just to have the room for 4 extra hours so we declined. All in all, unless I’m traveling solo and can get a great deal I can look for better options.

Conveniently located and friendly staff
Hotel is located literally outside one of the entrances to Tokyo Metro Naka-Okachimachi station and 5 minutes walk to JR Ueno. Staff were friendly and were able to help us arrange luggage forwarding to our next destination. Utilized the coin laundry facilities and breakfast a few times as well. Really enjoyed our stay.
