The room I stayed in was very dated. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable.

Had an excellent stay here, staff very friendly and accomodating, rooms spotless, food excellent for both evening meal and breakfast and very reasonably priced. Only slight negative was the room maybe needs some slight updating, the carpet was coming away from the wall and was fraying and the kettle had to be used on the floor as the flex didnt reach the plug socket. I wouldnt let that put anyone off staying here though. The little touches (emergency supplies box in the bathroom and the fresh milk for room) were very much appreciated! We would happily come and stay again!

Lovely place
We were staying for a wedding and one of us had to leave early while the other not till much later in the day. I had reached out asking if we could get late checkout, even just an additional hour would have helped. They were super kind and had arranged late check out for us with no problems. Super helpful and friendly staff And lovely food. Only moan would be we only had a double bed rather then king-size (1st world problems I know)

The staff is notably friendly and helpful and the Inn has a cozy country feel to it. For history buffs, it is close to the site of the Battle of Naseby during the English civil war, which essentially culminated in a Parliamentary victory (Oliver Cromwell) over the Royalist forces of Charles I. The countryside is quite lovely and conducive to some nice walks/hikes. Again, the Inn is a pleasant spot to relax, eat some good food on site, and enjoy a few drinks without having to drive anywhere, George and Karyl V. Phoenix, U.S.A.

6/10 Good

Unfortunately our room was very cold on arrival as radiator’s turned off. On returning to our room after midnight heating was off! Had to sleep in clothes!!!

Nice find
One night stay during a business trip. Very warm welcome from helpful friendly staff. Room (upgraded) was great, decent size, large bed, plenty of room and a bath & shower! Room seemed nice and clean and the addition of bottled water is a nice touch. Dinner was good and reasonably priced. There was a delay, apparently caused by a wi-fi problem, but they kept me informed. Breakfast was also really nice and fresh. Only complaint was the phone reception is poor and wi-fi was worse. Nothing they can do about the phone reception, but a better wi-fi service would help, especially for business users. Otherwise a nice hotel with good restaurant. Will certainly use again.

Disappointing
Decent food and nice bar area with excellent bar and hotel staff. The problem was that we booked one of the executive rooms, which is in the front of the old house. Despite the fact that it was 21 degrees at the end of October, the heating was on full blast (and we are in an energy crisis) and the radiator would not switch off. The room was unbearable. This is obviously a 'thing' at Pytchley Inn as we ate in the bar, which is much more characterful than the dining room, as a table by the wall unexpectedly became available. The reason is was suddenly available....the radiator next to the table was on full blast! For the room, the staff very apologetic and understanding and moved us to the neighbouring exec room where the radiator could be turned off. It was better, but the overall heat in the building and the fact that the bed had a warming topper led to a very uncomfortable and still overly warm night. Additionally, the replacement exec only had a large queen/ small king sized bed, whereas our previous room had a full king. Whilst there was a single bed, the base was rock solid and it was like sleeping on a board. The hotel staff were very understanding and did correct the rate. As we left, we could see into the newer rooms, which seemed to be standard rooms and, by far, looked to be much more welcoming.

Værelset var koldt og kunne ikke rigtig blive varmet op. Der var ingen tryk i vandet til bruseren, så der kom kun meget lidt vand ud. Samtidig tog det ~5 minutter at få varmt vand. Fin hotel bar og restaurant
