Paid in 2020 when I turned up to check in they had no reservation so ended up having to get another hotel. Tryed ring the manager to get some sort of reason no answer even rang on the Monday after the event ?

Fantastic accommodation that we will definitely be using again. Service from the manager (Basil) was awesome, i would recommend to anyone. (Ask for one of the new rooms) Breakfast was decent as well.

Disappointed that restaurant was not open for evening meal, but February is closed season. Very clean hotel, needs updating in certain areas. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was enormous.

New year family stay
We arrived on new years eve for a night stay earlier than the check in time but our room was ready & checked in early. We was really pleased with our room it was modern & clean with lovely furnishings & comfortable big bed. The bathroom was also spacious & modern & clean. Breakfast was lovely hot & plentiful with good choice. Well located with a lovely half hour walk to the main town of Scarborough, we watched the fireworks from the castle which we was pleasantly surprised with. All in all a lovely stay .

One night stay with young children
We were visiting family in Scarborough and needed a room for the 5 of us (2 adults, 3 children) for one night. Very warm and friendly welcome from Sharon on check in, who showed us up to the family room in the attic. The room was basic, but very clean and comfortable - everything that we needed. We will have no hesitation in staying here again next time we visit family in Scarborough.

Everything we needed
We stayed in a new room on the ground floor. It was excellent. The bed was comfortable and all was clean. It was small but had everything we needed. The night porter was friendly. We didn’t eat as we were there for a funeral. Very happy and would definitely stay there again. Thank you

Hidden gem
Weekend away for Whitby Christmas market weekend. Turns out the the hotel was the highlight of the weekend. Pleasant, friendly and helpful staff. Nice quiet location. Only complaint, we had Room G1, which is behind/ next to reception, and overheard the majority of conversations
