Not relaxing after a long day
After a horrendous day of travel we booked a hotel to avoid road closures through NM. We booked a king room and paid an up charge for it. We climbed into bed and an hour later the fire alarms started going off in the pool area- and off, and off, and off. The desk attendant told us it was due to some sort of ventilation issue in the pool area and we’d have to change rooms. We ended up in a queen room. In the am I asked the desk attendant for reimbursement for the up charge we had paid and was told he couldn’t do anything so I’d have to contact the manager. I’ve never had a hotel that couldn’t work that out on the spot.
The beds were comfortable, the breakfast was decent. Location is a bit off the beaten path.
