Our family of 5 stayed 5 nights and we loved it. The stay was a lovely departure from the usual luxury hotels. Tatami mats everywhere and the staff truly try to embody Omotenashi (Japanese hospitality). All the staff made a real effort to speak with us. The lounges on each floor are equipped with lots of treats. You can tell the staff truly cares about your stay, with Miyo, in particular, spending time with our family to explain things to us, as this was our first visit to Japan. It is a quirky place, so embrace it for that. They even daily hang wind chimes in the trees that adorn the entrance.
This hotel is part of Honshino Resorts - a 100+ year old Japanese company, still run by the same family.
We'd definitely stay again!
