Impressive hospitality with nice furniture
My experience was impressive from the moment I checked in to the time say bye to the host. Combination of homey atmosphere and very nice room furnitures, which were professionally managed, offered us fantastic stay. The B&B situated in 15 to 20 min walking distance from Bowness-on-Windermere, the nearest town, where you can enjoy shopping and dinning, and we benefited from very calm room environment because of the location. Taxi was available when we wanted to return to the B&B after dinner, and did not have any hassle because of the location. I wished to stay longer. Definitely the option to choose for your holiday.

Storrs Gate House is beautiful and smells devine! We had the warmest welcome on arrival from the hosts Susann & Glenn who couldn’t do enough for us throughout our stay. Breakfast was generous, setting us up for the day, so much so we never lunched the whole weekend as we were too full from breakfast! The room was very clean and well decorated. You know there is a touch of class when you see The White Company toiletries offered as standard. Cannot wait to visit Lake Windermere again and for sure we’ll book Storrs Gate House as location and everything about the house and hosts was simply perfect. Highly recommended.

Beautiful property amazing hosts who cant do enough for you. Suzanne greeted us at the property and made sure to recommend local restaurants for our evening meals. The breakfast fruit starter is amazing and Glen cooks a mean breakfast with high quality produce. Rooms are spacious clean and individual. Highly recommended would definately stay again.

Susan is very friendly. She greeted us warmly. We really liked the room, which was very cozy. Susan introduced us to nearby tourist attractions and routes and gave us many tips on saving money and budget-friendly travel options. We enjoyed the breakfast at the place very much. The breakfast was very abundant and fresh, prepared by the chef on the same day. Please confirm your check-in time, as the chef needs to wake up early in the morning to prepare breakfast for each guest, so they need to go to bed early. Please make sure to check in before 9 PM to ensure their schedule is maintained.

Overall lovely stay - highly recommend
Perfect location for travelling around the lake and for going out in the local area. Delicious and ample breakfast, tailored to your needs with plenty of tasty options which set us up right for a long walk. Super comfy bed, warm, little nice things like milk and good advice on walks and local sights. They also gave us biscuits to keep us trucking on our walk on our way out the door.

what an outstanding property! This was certainly in the highest class of a B&B, more like a luxury hotel. The ambience was excellent, the rooms and living areas so tastefully decorated. The owners are a lovely middle aged couple, friendly and always happy to advise on things to see and do. It was a pleasure staying here
